Member of the THz Science and Technology crew, Pd.D. student Pernille Klarskov, has received a prestigious 300.000 DKK (50.000 USD) Award from the Danish Council for Independent research.

The Award will enable Pernille Klarskov to visit the group of Prof. X.-C. Zhang at the Institute of Optics, Rochester University, during 2014. During this research visit, Pernille will be investigating nonlinear interactions between intense THz waves and molecular crystals, as part of the HI-TERA project.

The Elite Research Travel Award was handed over to Pernille Klarskov by the Danish Minister for Research and Education at a ceremony in Copenhagen on February 6, 2014.
